Garfield Gibson, Jr. 62, was born on July 29, 1954, to Garfield Gibson, Sr. and Mildred Thomas Gibson. Garfield passed away peacefully in Lake Jackson, Texas on September 12, 2016. He graduated from Bay City High School with the class of 1972 in Bay City, Texas. At an early age, he accepted Christ. He enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes, and having a good time with family and friends.
Garfield is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Patsy Gibson, Mary Watson, Betty Harkless, Effie Williams, and brothers, Earl Gibson, and Jimmie Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his, loving companion of 20 years Annette Bess, three sons, Bobby Gibson, Garfield Gibson III, and Michael Gibson; brother, Calvin (Josephine) Johnson, 15 grandchildren, 5 nieces, 7 nephews; special friends Ronnie Harris, Patrick Conner, and Isiaha (Trey) King III, and a host of other cousins and other relatives.
Visitation will be Friday September 16, 2016 from 1:00pm to 8:00pm at Gardner Funeral Home in Angleton Texas. Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 17, at 2:00 P.M., at Mother Zion Baptist Church, 2705 Avenue B., Bay City, Texas. Interment will follow at Eastview Cemetery, in Bay City, Texas. Raymond Thomas 77, was born to Oscar Thomas and Leola Lee Taylor. He passed away on August 10, 2016 at Harbour Hospice in Houston, Texas.
Raymond attended Marshall High School. He loved his family, family gatherings and he was an avid westerns fan. Raymond is preceded in death by his father Oscar Thomas and mother Leola Taylor; two brothers, Willie Glenn Hall, and Sam Jennings. He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter Shelia Burton, and grandson Christopher Burton, both of Houston, Texas; sisters, Eria Hall, Loraine Higgins (Andrew), Savannah Carethers, all of Angleton, Texas; brothers, Harold Hall (Carmen), of Angleton, Texas, Herman Hall (Shanna), of New Port Nevis, Virginia, James Hall, of Angleton, Texas, and Ronnie Hall (Trishan) of California; a very special sister-in-law Daisy Jennings. Juana “Janie” Rangel Williams, 79, of Angleton, Texas passed away on August 8, 2016. Janie was born Jnue 12, 1937 in McFannin, Texas to Zocorro Hernandez and Tonba Martin. She was raised in Bloomington, and then later moved to Angleton where she met her husband, Roosevelt Williams; they spent over 45 years together and raised a daughter with 2 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Janie was member of the Guadalupanas Society and devoted over 25 years of cleaning with volunteering to Most Holy Trinity Catholic church. Minister Lenroy Crick, 67, was born to Leonard and Violet Crick. Minister Crick was called to heaven on July 27, 2016.
As a young man, he was an avid sports fan, who enjoyed playing soccer with his fellow Trinidadians. He lived in St. Croix, Virgin Islands before making his way to Freeport, Texas in 1976. He later met and married Mary Payne on March 9, 1997 with whom he created a blended family of nine kids.
