Biography: Rosalind's Life Journey
Rosalind Elaine Eastland was born in Houston, Texas on May 31, 1952. She was the second daughter of five daughters of Oree Eastland Wilson.
Rosalind Elaine Walton passed away on October 27, 2023 at Jeanie Sealy Hospital in Galveston, Texas. She was 71 years old. She passed peacefully surrounded by family. Rosalind was a fighter to the end of multiple medical issues.
Rosalind was baptized at an early age at Lyons Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. Rosalind was active in the church choir and usher board. Rosalind visited numerous churches in Houston, Angleton and Pearland during her time. Rosalind graduated from B C Elmore High School in 1971 and attended Texas Southern University. Rosalind married James Daggs Jr. in 1972. Rosalind relocated to Angleton, Texas and is where she and her family called home. Rosalind was married to Tommie Walton who preceded her in death.
Rosalind enjoyed shopping especially on-line. It was normal to see several boxes at the front door weekly. Family friends loved to face time just to see everything in the room expect for her on the screen. Rosalind was very humorous and vocal in expressing her feelings and opinions.
Rosalind was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Granny. Rosalind continued her mother tradition of putting family first. She has always been her family's support, strength and comfort when times have been tough.
