Biography: Barbara Ann Taylor, 57, of Hockley, Texas, peacefully passed away on April 7, 2022, at her home in Hockley, Texas.  Visitation will be 10:00am to 11:00am Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Gardner Funeral Home, 507 W. Orange, Angleton, Texas; followed by A Celebration of her Life at 11:00am; with Reverend L.D. Brooks, Sr. Officiating/Eulogist.  On February 13, 1965 in Galveston County, Texas Barbara Ann Woods was born to Marian Beasley Chaney and Mary Lee Woods. Barbara Ann was raised in the Angleton-Rosharon area where she attended school.  She was the oldest of 10 siblings.   She was the mother of two children,   Arthur Thomas Jr and Chantel Wright.  Barbara accepted Christ at an early age.    She joined New Direction Baptist Church. There she married Rodney Taylor on March 12, 1994. Their union was undeniable.  Barbara Ann loved being around family during early adult years.    She would often travel on road trips with her family. Barbara worked as a Maintenance Supervisor at Brook Hollow Baptist Church for over 20 years, until she retired.  Barbara Ann was a strong solid woman of God. She was a mother to many.  She never gave up no matter how bad the situation.   She fought a good fight.  She was preceded in death by her husband Rodney Taylor; her parents Mary Lee Woods and Marian Beasley Chaney.  She leaves to cherish memory her son Arthur Thomas Jr (R. Dee Moore); her daughter Chantel Wright (Alexis Curry) and Betty Hayes; nine grandchildren, Destiney Purvis, Chantasia Thomas, Anastasia Thomas, Demon Parker, Jacyeon Thomas, Artavius Wright, Anthony Wright; and   Antwann Wright; eight brothers, Craig Woods, Ronald James Woods,  John Woods, Dennis Woods, Manuel Woods, Timothy Chaney, Marian Chaney Jr, and Harold Chaney; sisters, Ann York, and Annette Mathews (David); a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
