Biography: Angela Rogers Magwood of Sugarland, Texas passed away on October 8, 2021 in Houston. Visitation will be Thursday 4:00 -7:30 PM October 21, 2021, at Gardner’s Funeral Home 507 West Orange Street, Angleton, Texas. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday October 22, 2021 at Westbury Church of Christ 10424 Hillcroft Street Houston, Texas. Angela was born in Alvin, Texas to Richard and Rosie Lee Rogers on September 21, 1954. She graduated from Angleton High School in 1973. Angela married Ronnie Hall and they had two children Ronnie and Shante. Later she married Rudolph “Jay” Magwood until becoming his widow in 2007. Angela first professional job was with the IRS. Later she became a realtor, an entrepreneur and self-employed. As an apartment locator she was known as THE SAME DAY QUEEN she enjoyed helping those that had the most difficulty finding a place. She hardly met anybody that didn’t become a friend. She was an active member of Church of Christ for about 40 years. She went on several missionary trips to Honduras and Russia. Angela, witnessed and glorified God wherever she went. What a beautiful, joyous sister and friend to all that knew her. We won’t forget her. Angela is preceded in death by Shante Hall, Rosie Lee Goods, Richard Rogers Sr. and Rudolph Magwood. Angela leaves to cherish Ronnie D. Hall II son, Rosjanae’ A. Crawley grand-daughter, Dayron Hall grandson and Heaven and Hope Samuels great-grandchildren. Siblings: Dorothy Robinson, Richard Rogers Jr., Gizelle Graves, Jacqueline Rogers, George Rogers, Richie Thomas and Carla Cooper and Jake Rogers and a host of nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery in the Chenango Community. Due to the COVID-19, everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
