Biography: Minister Lee Irma Goodwin, 89, of Brazoria, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. Visitation will be held Friday, May 7, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gardner’s Funeral Home 507 W. Orange St., Angleton, Texas.  A Celebration of her Life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Rehoboth Restored Ministries, 607 Aiken, Clute, Texas, Bishop A.D. Simon, Eulogist.  Minister Goodwin, was born on April 16, 1932, to William and Dennie Thompson in Brazoria.  She accepted Christ and became a member of First Baptist Church of Old Town Brazoria under the leadership of Rev. D.T. Thomas. Under the leadership of Pastor A.D. Simon, she confessed Christ as her Savior and was filled with the “Holy Spirit”. She served as a Sunday school teacher, a youth matron and an usher. She received her ministerial license from Ministries of Reconciliation, Apostle A.D. Simon on June 1, 1985. She was Director of the Sharing and Caring Ministry for many years, but her passion was praying.  She was a fervent Intercessory Prayer Warrior at Rehoboth Restored Ministries until God called her home. She was united in matrimony to John Goodwin and to this union one daughter was born Deione Denece.  She was preceded in death by her father, William Thompson Sr.; mother, Dennie Lipkins; brother William Thompson Jr. and sister, Lillie Mae Weyren.  She is survived and cherished by her daughter, Deione Denece Nichols (Jeffery W. Nichols) of Lake Jackson, TX. Grandchildren: Joel Craig Alexander (Cassaundra) of Rosharon, TX; John Alexander (Contenia) of Dallas, TX; Jaelisa Nichols of Houston, TX; Jeffrey Davis (Bianca) of Houston, TX; Michael Ward (Danielle) of Houston, TX; Everette Hawkins of Houston, TX. Special Children/Great-Grandchildren: Danesha Alexander-Pines (Randolph) of Houston, TX; Adrion Alexander (Jessica) of Clute, TX. 19(total) Great-Grandchildren; 13 Great, Great-Grandchildren Sisters: Diane Washington (John) of Rosebud, TX; Sherrie Daniels of Junction City, Kansas. Nieces: Linda Fuller (Eugene) of Houston, TX; Darla Dunlap of Brazoria; Sandra Thompson of Houston, TX. Nephew: Michael Weyren (Julames) of Brazoria, TX A host of other nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. All my sons and daughters in the Lord.   Seating will be limited to Covid-19 Guidelines.   Everyone is asked to wear a mask and respect social distancing guidelines.  Final and Most Sacred Arrangements Entrusted to Gardner Funeral Home, 507 W.
