Biography: Celebration of life for Henry Joe Cooper, 84, of Rosharon, Texas, will be held Saturday, October 10, 2020, with visitation beginning at 11:00am to12:00pm, followed by a Funeral Services at Gardner’s Funeral Home, 507 W. Orange, Angleton, TX, Reverend Larry D. Brooks, Officiant/Eulogist. Due to the current situation concerning the COVID-19, the family is concerned about everyone’s health and safety, therefore attendance will be limited, everyone is asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing. On Monday, June 8, 1936, Henry Joe Cooper was born to the late Rayfield Cooper, Sr., and Estelle Robinson Cooper. Henry accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at a young age. He loved the Lord as his God, and his faith in God was evidence throughout his life. Henry met, fell in love and married Willie Mae Cooper. He enjoyed the life of fishing and hunting. He worked at the Rice Dryer in Rosharon, Texas, for many years. On Sunday, October 4, 2020, he received a call, a sort of an offer he could not refuse. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rayfield Cooper, Sr. Estelle Robinson Cooper; his sisters Elizabeth Ray, and Estelle Frazier; his brothers, Jimmie Cooper, Rayfield Cooper, Jr.; and Dan Bass. Henry leaves to cherish his memories by his wife of 45 years, Willie M. Cooper. Eight step-children, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
