Biography: Private funeral service for A.C. Smith, Jr.  will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., at Bibleway Baptist Church, 201 East Miller Street, Angleton, Texas 77515; Rev. Alonzo Brown, Pastor. Interment will follow at Knights and Daughters Cemetery, Rosharon, Texas.  A public viewing will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gardner Funeral Home located at 507 W Orange Street in Angleton, Texas.  A.C., was born on September 3, 1958, in Angleton, Texas, to A.C. Smith, Sr. and Diola Smith. He grew up in Angleton where he attended Angleton ISD.  He played, football, basketball, and enjoyed his friends.  At the age of 16 A.C. begin working in the summer work program for the school, as a Lawn mower and after years later he begin working in the Maintenance Department, where he worked for 39 years until he  retired in January 2017.  During A.C.’s retirement he enjoyed attending the Angleton football games.  He was a DIE HARD WILDCAT FAN.  His greatest joys in life were his daughter and grandchildren.  During his pastime he enjoyed fishing with his brother-in-law Robert Hawkins.  He leaves to mourn his passing, his beloved daughter Latrice Smith, step-daughter, Damara Wilson, his grandchildren, Paris Soell, MaKayla Smith, Breeanna Wilson, and Braedyn Griggs; his god-daughter Skylar Thomas; his sisters, Betty (Robert) Hawkins, Barbara Smith, Linda Davis and Darlene Johnson; his brothers, Randy (Rachel) Smith and Larry Smith; his uncle Luke Smith, and a host of relatives and friends. Active Pallbearers, Isaac Scott, Sean Scott, Cedric Scott, Andre Jones, Cole Smith, and Melvin Wilson, Jr.
