Funeral Services for Roy Chester Willis, 69, of Houston formally of Angleton, will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 12:00PM, at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, Rosharon, Texas.  Pastor L.D. Brooks. Final Resting Place will be at Houston Memorial Garden, Houston, Texas.  Visitation will be Friday, May 10, 2019, at 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM.   On June 28, 1949 a baby boy was born in Sandy Point, Texas to Fenish and Rosie Lee Willis. He was the 7th child, they named this son Roy. Roy attended China Grove Elementary School and Angleton High School. Roy confessed Christ at an early age and united with Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church.  He had 4 children Kevin, Terry Frashun (Bo), Dieadra and Roy Jr.  On March 5, 2013 Roy was united in Holy Matrimony to Ava Scott. To this union no children were born. Roy was employed with Haliburton in maintenance (air conditioning) for 25 plus years, He retired in 2013 and later drove hot shot for Ace Trucking Company.  Roy was known for his outstanding skills in barbecuing and enjoyed playing dominoes. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Preceding him in death were both parents, ex-wife Laura, three brothers Alfred, Donald Ray and Wendell and two sisters Jo Ann and Willie Lee. He leaves to mourn a devoted wife Ava Willis, three sons Kevin Hill (Latrice) of Houston, Frashun (Bo) Perry (Margaret) of Lake Jackson, Roy Chester Willis Jr. of Missouri City and one stepson Colin Black of Houston; one daughter Dieadra Chevalier of Houston and eight grandchildren; two sisters Alta Hodges (Fred) of Katy and Ella Peterson (Daniel) of Houston, and two brothers Mack and Elvis Willis of Sandy Point; David King a lifelong friend/brother (Ella) of Angleton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
